ATLANTA, Sep. 30 /CSRwire/ – Savvy Cyber Kids today announced a partnership with Mom Trusted through which cyber security awareness education materials will be distributed to 11,000 preschool aged children. In support of National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM), Savvy Cyber Kids and Mom Trusted provided a kit of supplies that included materials to bring the concepts of cyber safety, privacy, and ethics straight to our youngest online participants.

“The first time a parent hands a child an iPad or smartphone is the point when parents should start reading the Savvy Cyber Kids picture books to their children just as they read them stories before naptime or bedtime,” said Ben Halpert, founder and president of Savvy Cyber Kids. “If we can ingrain the concepts of cyber security awareness, privacy, ethics, and appropriate bully response into the minds of our children, then we have the opportunity to appropriately shape a generation’s children as they grow up online.”

“The internet is an amazing tool for learning and, as parents in this digital age, we use it regularly to help our children explore new things. When your child asks a question like, ‘Why do bees make honey?’ we can easily say, ‘Well, let’s look it up and see,’ to find the answer for them,” said Angela Conley, president and co-founder of “Helping our children navigate the world is our number one priority, but online, we have to make sure they know what’s safe and what’s not. The Savvy Cyber Kids books are helping us do that.”

In addition to the Savvy Cyber Kids materials, each set of materials included a STOP.THINK.CONNECT. toolkit for teachers and parents to leverage to assist in expanding awareness of cyber security issues we all face in today’s online environment.
